This special edition marks both America's 250th anniversary and the 45th year since NASA's first shuttle launch, adding extra significance to the festivities.

Spectators can look forward to the return of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, whose breathtaking stunts over the Atlantic will be their first Cocoa Beach performance since 2021.

The Artemis 2 mission is set to launch from Florida’s Space Coast, marking a historic leap in NASA’s return to lunar exploration.

This flight will be the first crewed journey aboard the NASA Space Launch System (SLS), with astronauts embarking on a 10-day loop around the Moon.

After key maintenance and system upgrades, the SLS and Orion spacecraft have been rolled to Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39B, positioning the mission for its April 2026 window.

The crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen—will test new life support systems and make history as the first woman, first person of color, and first non-American crewed flight toward the Moon.

Brevard County is buzzing with excitement as local businesses and schools gear up for the mission, underscoring the region’s pivotal role and pride in space exploration.

The success of Artemis 2 will shape future lunar and Mars missions, fueling the enduring drive for discovery.

Mortgage rates in the U.S. have surged back above 6%, ending a brief dip and reflecting ongoing volatility driven by broader economic shifts.

Recent rises in bond yields—spurred by higher oil prices and global uncertainty—have pushed the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage up to 6%.

This remains lower than the 2023 peak, offering relative relief to buyers.

Key forces include the 10-year Treasury yield, now at 4.14%, setting a benchmark that lenders follow.

Expectations of future inflation—especially after spikes in oil prices—have led to cautious moves from both markets and the Federal Reserve, which signaled no imminent rate cuts.

Meanwhile, wage growth outpaces inflation and consumer spending remains solid, keeping downward pressure on rates limited.

Despite fluctuations, relaxed lender rules and renewed consumer confidence mean opportunities for well-qualified homebuyers remain strong.
