Under the baton of Dr. Mark P. Nelson, the orchestra will perform a selection of pieces that have profoundly influenced his musical journey.
The program features Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien, Berlioz's Roman Carnival Overture, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9.
Adding to the evening's allure, Edgewood Jr/Sr High School senior Anderson Aiken will showcase his talent with Lalo's Cello Concerto in D minor.
Attendees arriving early can enjoy a pre-show at 6:15 p.m., featuring performances by principal flute player Noël Barefield, pianist Paul Wubbena, and horn player Cassidy Phillips.
Admission to these concerts is free, reflecting the orchestra's commitment to making music accessible to the community.
