Cocoa Tigers Head Coach Ryan Schneider Steps Down After Eight Seasons |
Schneider departs with three consecutive state championships and an 82–23 record |
In a significant development for Cocoa High School's football program, Head Coach Ryan Schneider has announced his resignation after eight seasons at the helm.
Schneider's tenure, beginning in 2018, was marked by remarkable success, including leading the Tigers to three consecutive state championships from 2022 to 2024.
Under his guidance, the team achieved an impressive overall record of 82–23.
During his first season, Schneider propelled the Tigers to a 10-4 record and a berth in the Class 4A state championship game, where they finished as runners-up.
His first state title came in 2022, with subsequent championships in 2023 and 2024, solidifying Cocoa's dominance in Florida high school football.
Before joining Cocoa, Schneider served as offensive coordinator at Melbourne Central Catholic and at the nationally recognized St. Thomas Aquinas.
His departure leaves a legacy of excellence and a foundation for future success.
The search for his successor is expected to commence immediately, as the Tigers aim to build upon the strong program Schneider established.
