Nov 13, 2025

Blue Origin has postponed the next launch of its New Glenn rocket, originally set for November 12, 2025, at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

NASA cited concerns about intense solar activity, which could threaten the ESCAPADE spacecraft intended for Mars, as the reason for the last-minute delay.

A new date for liftoff has not yet been set, with officials carefully monitoring space weather for a safer launch window.

This mission would mark New Glenn’s second flight and its first commercial payload, carrying NASA’s twin ESCAPADE orbiters to study the Red Planet’s magnetosphere.

Recent launch efforts faced challenges, including bad weather, a wandering cruise ship, and technical issues at the pad.

Blue Origin continues to coordinate with NASA and the FAA as they work toward a safe, successful mission.

The City of Titusville announced on November 10, 2025, that the US Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest disaster loans for residents in Brevard County who have been impacted by flooding.

These loans are aimed at helping homeowners, renters, nonprofit organizations, and businesses cover repair, rebuilding, and recovery costs that may not be fully covered by insurance.

Interested individuals can apply online at www.sba.gov/disaster or by calling 800-659-2955. Brevard County Emergency Management is collaborating with the SBA to establish a center in North Brevard where affected residents can meet with SBA representatives to get information about the application process and receive help in completing disaster loan applications.

The Titusville City Council has voted to reject a proposed rezoning for a townhome project at State Road 405 and South Singleton Avenue.

This action follows vocal community opposition rooted in concerns over flooding and environmental risks.

The developer’s plan sought to turn a 15.7-acre site into 62 townhomes, up from just 16 units allowed under current zoning.

Residents warned that greater housing density could worsen flooding, citing recent storms that left neighborhoods underwater.

Neighbors also stressed the value of preserving the area’s natural forest wetlands, the last of their kind in Titusville.

Despite developer assurances, the council sided with citizens, prioritizing existing residents and environmental protection.

City Council Member Megan Moscoso emphasized the need for growth that respects both people and the landscape.

The decision is seen locally as a win for environmental stewardship and community advocacy.

Space Coast Rocket Launches

November 13, 2025 – November 21, 2025

All dates and times are approximate and subject to change.

November 13, 2025 — Early Afternoon

Mission: New Glenn • ESCAPADE Mission

Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Launch Complex 36

Projected Time: Around 2:57 PM EST

Mission Details: This mission launches NASA’s ESCAPADE twin spacecraft, designed to study the magnetic and plasma environment around Mars. The two probes will help researchers better understand how the solar wind interacts with the Martian atmosphere and contributes to long-term atmospheric loss.

Viewing Tips: A daytime launch means a bright plume but less visible flame. Choose a location with an unobstructed east or southeast horizon. Titusville’s riverfront, Playalinda Beach (if open), or any Indian River Lagoon shoreline provides excellent views. Arrive early to avoid midday congestion and bring binoculars to follow the vehicle as it climbs.

November 13, 2025 — Late Evening

Mission: Atlas V 551 • ViaSat-3 F2 Satellite

Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Launch Complex 41

Projected Time: Around 10:04 PM – 10:48 PM EST

Mission Details: This mission places the high-capacity ViaSat-3 EMEA communications satellite into orbit. It is designed to significantly expand broadband coverage and data throughput across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Viewing Tips: Night launches offer some of the most dramatic visuals. Look northeast from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Jetty Park for the best plume visibility. If you plan to photograph, bring a tripod and use longer exposures to capture the glowing trail across the sky.

November 14, 2025 — Late Night (First Launch)

Mission: Falcon 9 • Starlink Group 6-85

Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Space Launch Complex 40

Projected Time: Around 10:01 PM EST

Mission Details: This mission deploys a batch of Starlink satellites to expand SpaceX’s global broadband constellation. These satellites enhance coverage, bandwidth, and overall reliability of the network.

Viewing Tips: For a dark-sky experience, Titusville’s Max Brewer Bridge and Causeway are prime viewing spots. Watch cloud layers and winds over the ocean, which can affect how clearly you see the booster return burn and atmospheric trail. Expect cooler late-night temperatures near the water.

November 14, 2025 — Late Night (Second Launch)

Mission: Falcon 9 • Starlink Group 6-89

Launch Site: Kennedy Space Center, Launch Complex 39A (expected)

Projected Time: Around 10:01 PM EST

Mission Details: A second Starlink mission continues the rapid deployment of next-generation satellites, further densifying the constellation and improving global connectivity.

Viewing Tips: If you viewed the earlier launch from the Titusville area, consider watching this one from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Jetty Park for a different angle. Double-launch nights can create heavier traffic and quicker parking fill-up, so plan to arrive early and be patient on the way out.

November 18, 2025 — Evening

Mission: Falcon 9 • Starlink Group 6-94

Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Space Launch Complex 40

Projected Time: Around 6:29 PM EST

Mission Details: This mission deploys another set of Starlink satellites, scheduled for an early evening launch that may produce a spectacular twilight plume as sunlight catches the exhaust at high altitude.

Viewing Tips: This is an excellent launch to view from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Playalinda Beach (if accessible). Twilight launches often create a dramatic “jellyfish” effect in the sky. Arrive early, bring a wide-angle lens for photography, and be ready for crowds drawn by the timing and lighting conditions.

Brevard County Housing Market Update!

Here’s the latest snapshot of the housing market in Brevard County, Florida as of end of October 2025, from the perspective of a seasoned local real-estate advisor:

Price Trends
The median sale price for all home types in Brevard County in October 2025 came in at roughly $350,000, which is down about 4.1% compared to October of last year. (Redfin)
Price per square foot averaged about $206, showing a year-over-year decline of approximately 4.8%. (Redfin)
This means that while prices remain elevated compared to pre-pandemic levels, the market is clearly cooling and buyers are gaining slightly more leverage.

Sales Activity & Time on Market
Closed sales in October numbered around 933 homes, up from 855 the previous year—an increase of about 9.1%. (Redfin)
However, time on market has shifted: the median days on the market now sit around 83 days, which is slightly longer than the 80-day figure a year ago. (Redfin)
The sale-to-list price ratio stands at approximately 96.9%, meaning sellers are, on average, closing slightly under list price. (Redfin)
Additionally, the percentage of homes undergoing a price drop has increased (about 36.3% of listings had price reductions) compared to a year ago. (Redfin)
From a practical standpoint: if you're listing, you still can expect good interest—especially if you price and stage well—but you likely won’t be getting “one-day-multiple-offers” like in 2021-22, and you should prepare for a slightly longer marketing period.

Inventory & Market Balance
Inventory for single-family homes (and condos/townhomes) has tightened in some sectors: recent reporting indicates buyer activity is picking up, and supply is moving closer to a more balanced level for the first time in a while. (Space Coast Daily)
Specifically for Q2 2025, the months’ supply for single-family homes was around 4.6 months (up from about 4.1 months a year prior) — that signals a shift from ultra-tight seller-market to a somewhat more balanced marketplace. (brevardelite.com)
In the condo/townhome sector the story is different: closed sales in Q2 2025 were down significantly (-17.6% year-over-year) and months’ supply jumped to 8.6 months — pointing toward oversupply or weaker demand in that niche. (brevardelite.com)
So: for single-family homes, the market is leaning toward balanced (slightly seller-friendly, especially for well-positioned homes); for condos/townhomes, it’s more buyer-favorable with more choices and more negotiation potential.

Driver Factors & Local Context
Several local factors are influencing the market:

  • The region’s aerospace/space-industry employment (jobs tied to SpaceX, NASA, etc.) continues to draw relocating professionals, which supports housing demand.

  • The coastal lifestyle, beaches, and relatively affordable access compared to other Florida markets remain strong selling points.

  • Mortgage rates remain a headwind for affordability; while not specified in detail for Brevard in the data quoted, the broader Florida/national environment suggests buyers are more cautious and financing costs are higher.

  • For condos, a caution flag exists: insurance premiums, older building condition, and regulatory burdens provide headwinds that may be impacting buyer enthusiasm particularly in the waterfront/condo market. (While this is more of a statewide Florida trend, it may have reverberations locally.)

What this Means for Sellers
If you’re positioning a home for sale in Brevard County now:

  • Homes that are well-maintained, properly priced and marketed (especially those in desirable neighborhoods, near employment/activity hubs, or with coastal/river access) are seeing healthy interest.

  • Realistic pricing is key: with the market cooling modestly, overpricing can lead to stagnation or price reductions.

  • Because inventory is still relatively limited in some niches and strong for others (especially single-family homes in desirable areas), you still have opportunity for positive outcomes—but you might not command large premium margins as in “peak seller’s markets” past.

  • Timing matters: Considering the shift, getting ahead of any increased supply coming in spring may favor sellers if demand remains stable.

What this Means for Buyers
For buyers looking in Brevard County:

  • The recent drop in median price (≈4.1% for October vs. a year ago) gives some negotiation space, though remember prices are still significantly higher than pre-2020 levels.

  • Due diligence matters: With more listings and somewhat longer days on market, you may have more time and choice to evaluate, inspect, compare, and negotiate.

  • Condos/townhomes represent a relatively stronger opportunity zone (based on supply and slower pace) — meaning you may find better deals/terms there if suited to your lifestyle.

  • Factor in financing carefully: higher mortgage rates and potential insurance/maintenance issues (especially condo associations) require careful budgeting and attention.

  • Location/trend advantages: If you’re targeting areas tied to job growth (Space Coast, aerospace hubs) or lifestyle (coastal access, commuting ease), you may be better insulated from the softer parts of the market.

Outlook Heading into 2026
Based on current data:

  • Expect price stability or modest downward/flat movement over the next 6–12 months unless there’s a major shift in interest rates or macro-economics.

  • The market may shift gradually toward balanced (rather than strongly seller-oriented) for many segments of the Brevard County market.

  • For condos/townhomes, expect perhaps a buyer-tilted environment: more listings, more days on market, more price pressure.

  • Sellers who move early with good execution may still capture favorable results; buyers who wait too long might face renewed competition if inventory tightens again or if demand resurges tied to job growth.

  • Monitoring the health of the aerospace/space-industry employment pipeline, interest-rate trajectory, insurance/condo regulation status, and local supply (new construction, listings coming in) will be pivotal.
