Blue Origin has postponed the next launch of its New Glenn rocket, originally set for November 12, 2025, at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
NASA cited concerns about intense solar activity, which could threaten the ESCAPADE spacecraft intended for Mars, as the reason for the last-minute delay.
A new date for liftoff has not yet been set, with officials carefully monitoring space weather for a safer launch window.
This mission would mark New Glenn’s second flight and its first commercial payload, carrying NASA’s twin ESCAPADE orbiters to study the Red Planet’s magnetosphere.
Recent launch efforts faced challenges, including bad weather, a wandering cruise ship, and technical issues at the pad.
Blue Origin continues to coordinate with NASA and the FAA as they work toward a safe, successful mission. Read More... |
The City of Titusville announced on November 10, 2025, that the US Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest disaster loans for residents in Brevard County who have been impacted by flooding. |
The Titusville City Council has voted to reject a proposed rezoning for a townhome project at State Road 405 and South Singleton Avenue.
This action follows vocal community opposition rooted in concerns over flooding and environmental risks.
The developer’s plan sought to turn a 15.7-acre site into 62 townhomes, up from just 16 units allowed under current zoning.
Residents warned that greater housing density could worsen flooding, citing recent storms that left neighborhoods underwater.
Neighbors also stressed the value of preserving the area’s natural forest wetlands, the last of their kind in Titusville.
Despite developer assurances, the council sided with citizens, prioritizing existing residents and environmental protection.
City Council Member Megan Moscoso emphasized the need for growth that respects both people and the landscape.
The decision is seen locally as a win for environmental stewardship and community advocacy. Read More... |

Space Coast Rocket LaunchesNovember 13, 2025 – November 21, 2025All dates and times are approximate and subject to change. November 13, 2025 — Early AfternoonMission: New Glenn • ESCAPADE Mission Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Launch Complex 36 Projected Time: Around 2:57 PM EST Mission Details: This mission launches NASA’s ESCAPADE twin spacecraft, designed to study the magnetic and plasma environment around Mars. The two probes will help researchers better understand how the solar wind interacts with the Martian atmosphere and contributes to long-term atmospheric loss. Viewing Tips: A daytime launch means a bright plume but less visible flame. Choose a location with an unobstructed east or southeast horizon. Titusville’s riverfront, Playalinda Beach (if open), or any Indian River Lagoon shoreline provides excellent views. Arrive early to avoid midday congestion and bring binoculars to follow the vehicle as it climbs. November 13, 2025 — Late EveningMission: Atlas V 551 • ViaSat-3 F2 Satellite Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Launch Complex 41 Projected Time: Around 10:04 PM – 10:48 PM EST Mission Details: This mission places the high-capacity ViaSat-3 EMEA communications satellite into orbit. It is designed to significantly expand broadband coverage and data throughput across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Viewing Tips: Night launches offer some of the most dramatic visuals. Look northeast from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Jetty Park for the best plume visibility. If you plan to photograph, bring a tripod and use longer exposures to capture the glowing trail across the sky. November 14, 2025 — Late Night (First Launch)Mission: Falcon 9 • Starlink Group 6-85 Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Space Launch Complex 40 Projected Time: Around 10:01 PM EST Mission Details: This mission deploys a batch of Starlink satellites to expand SpaceX’s global broadband constellation. These satellites enhance coverage, bandwidth, and overall reliability of the network. Viewing Tips: For a dark-sky experience, Titusville’s Max Brewer Bridge and Causeway are prime viewing spots. Watch cloud layers and winds over the ocean, which can affect how clearly you see the booster return burn and atmospheric trail. Expect cooler late-night temperatures near the water. November 14, 2025 — Late Night (Second Launch)Mission: Falcon 9 • Starlink Group 6-89 Launch Site: Kennedy Space Center, Launch Complex 39A (expected) Projected Time: Around 10:01 PM EST Mission Details: A second Starlink mission continues the rapid deployment of next-generation satellites, further densifying the constellation and improving global connectivity. Viewing Tips: If you viewed the earlier launch from the Titusville area, consider watching this one from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Jetty Park for a different angle. Double-launch nights can create heavier traffic and quicker parking fill-up, so plan to arrive early and be patient on the way out. November 18, 2025 — EveningMission: Falcon 9 • Starlink Group 6-94 Launch Site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Space Launch Complex 40 Projected Time: Around 6:29 PM EST Mission Details: This mission deploys another set of Starlink satellites, scheduled for an early evening launch that may produce a spectacular twilight plume as sunlight catches the exhaust at high altitude. Viewing Tips: This is an excellent launch to view from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Playalinda Beach (if accessible). Twilight launches often create a dramatic “jellyfish” effect in the sky. Arrive early, bring a wide-angle lens for photography, and be ready for crowds drawn by the timing and lighting conditions. 📸 Share Your Launch Photos!Attending one of these launches?
