A free Saturday outing comes with a chance to help the Indian River Lagoon.

Lagoon Fest runs October 17, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Front Street Park, 2210 Front Street in Melbourne.

Environmental exhibitors will introduce restoration work, citizen-science projects and opportunities to volunteer.

Families can also enjoy food trucks, live music, arts and crafts, face painting and children’s activities.

It’s an inviting way to spend time together while discovering how neighbors can care for a waterway that connects our community.
